I'm trying to figure out how I want it to handle savings so that it shows savings as an "exspense" in the monthly budget.
I guess all I need to do is create a "savings" catagory and then tag the transactions as such? any other ideas?

Thats sorta why I want the IRA separated. I dont want the money in teh IRA showing in how much cash I have onhand instead of money being put aside.

i dont understand why you are trying to show it as an expense
