That's unfortunate. I jacked around my freshman year and ended up with a 1.7 ... I brought it up to a 2.6 but still, I would need to make a 3.5 here on out to finish with a 3.3... I didn't even assume GPA mattered all that much in engineering.

But for real, it's close to if not in the six figures. I work for Big Oil and am recently graduated.

ETA: If it's for a field services company like Schlumberger, I know that they were offering 73k in 2008 for ME's. Not sure about petro.
