Baseball Game Fan Game

I was at a Cubs game a couple years ago and there was a group of fans (about 7) that was playing a game that was determined by the plays of the Cubs game. They each put a dollar in one cup and passed it down the row or even backwards some times on certain plays of the game. I think it moved backwards if some one made a error. I think it moved two people foward if someone hit a double, etc. It also skipped a guy for going to the restroom when he was not in his seat when it was his turn to have the cup. I think who ever had the cup at the end of the inning, won the money in the cup. They then did it again the next innings.
My question is does anyone know this game, what it is called or even where I can find the so called rules?
Thanks for any info.

Thats a great idea to get people interested in the game (who are otherwise uninterested), or keep the wife quiet

I've seen a few variations of it. I would imagine that you could choose whatever rules you want.
I've seen people bet on whether the ball rolled toward the mound at the end of each inning will come to a stop on the grass or the dirt.
Personally, the game of baseball itself entertains me enough not to worry about it, but if I had season tix to an MLB team, that's a lot of games so I can understand mixing things up.
