Honestly the only place it doesn't grow is where I piss and where my dog pisses. Last year I had a bunch in bonfires in one spot and it is already full of grass. It will swallow a beer bottle in a couple of months. I can't cut it lower or it will brown over and die. I am just looking for some chemicals or something to slowthe stuff down.
As far as the thatch goes, wouldn't de-thatching make it grow faster?

Dethatching will make it healthier. Not nessasarily grow faster. And it will allow you to cut shorter.
Just try a small spot and see how it works. When I get home I'll see if I can find the blades and link it for you.
You can check into primo but it's expensive. Will slow down growth.
