Would you trade lives with Josh Hamilton?

Somebody asked me this earlier and I thought it'd be an interesting question for the MSB (assuming it hasn't already been asked, which it may have).
Would you trade lives with Josh Hamilton? You'd get to be a pro baseball player with tremendous on-field success, tons of money, tons of chicks. But you'd have a severe addiction problem and demons you'd have to fight nearly every day.

Everyone has this problem, it matters not what your name is or your station in life.

Disagree, but even if so, some are much more difficult than others.

Oh great, another Josh Hamilton thread. Can't wait until the casual fans who only pretend to care about MLB when ESPN tells them to go back into hiding.

You realize you aren't the czar of baseball right? There are plenty of people who enjoy the game...

I saw an interview with him on Realsports several years ago. He carries no credit cards, very little cash (enough to buy fast food), and I think he has (or had) someone drive him. Despite all the money, fame and notoriety he lives a very complex, if not difficult life.

Uh, I can definitely say his are a little worse than mine personally.

I've already overcome a crack addiction so sure, I'm down with beating a heroin addiction too

Honestly no, fighting an addiction like that would be hard enough, much less having to do it while performing at an elite level and having to meet ridiculous expectations

He's gonna be super fricked when his baseball career is over.

Duh! LOL :P

I realize that. There are also a ton of frontrunners who like to wax poetic about baseball around the water cooler because ESPN ran a feature story that didn't involved the NFL and they thought, "oh man.. this must be important."

Yes. The only problem with being an addict is how damn expensive it is. If I had tens of millions of dollars I would be a happy addict for the rest of my life.

A very tough question. With all the fame comes other shite as well. Like not being able to go to just any store and look at mags or anytime you go out to eat you get hassled. I would NOT like that even withh all that money. And with ALL those chicks comes PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!

Maybe. If you had tens of millions of dollars, could you keep your addiction at it's current level, and not go chasing the next, great high? Having tens of millions, makes that a whole lot easier.
