Last Man Standing/Cougar Town...anyone watching?

Anybody watch this show (still)? I find myself really liking it more and more each week. Last night's episode was solid.
I hope it's like Cougar Town, where if I don't know many people that watch it, at least it's popular enough to stay on the air. Because Cougar Town last night was great. I figured they'd eventually get into the Laurie/Travis love angle..

Really like Cougartown. I'm glad I gave it a chance. Unfortunately most have not.
Although the name they gave it was dumb. It was cougartown for like 1 episode. I know they were trying to capitalize on the whole cougar thing from a few years ago, but they should have done a better job naming it.

Last Man Standing is pretty good if you are a Tim Allen fan

Cougar Town is quirky and fairly amusing. Last Man Standing is mediocre. It feels like a typical 90s sitcom

I started a Cougar Town fan club on Facebook, not to accomplish anything mind you, simply to express my love for the show. Well, it ended up being quite large, this fan club, and one morning, I think it was in early March, I got this Facebook message—a very nice message—from the people who make Cougar Town, thanking me, you know, for all the support I generated for the show, and in the last paragraph they said, "If you'd like, you could come visit the set." Just like that.
So I sold a few of my action figures and I bought a round trip ticket to Los Angeles. Over spring break. What could I do? Two days after I got that invitation, I was on the set of Cougar Town. Cougar Town.
The people were wonderful. You know, not just the actors, but the crew, everyone. There must have been two hundred people, each with a specific function, but all dedicated to a single purpose. It was like a village, or like... a living thing. And I'm talking to the director and he says, "Well, why don't you jump into the background?" I say, "Now wait a minute, jump into the background of what exactly?" And he says, "Jump into the background of this scene. Walk through it. Walk through Cougar Town!" Well, before I could react, this girl takes me by the hand, and she stands me behind this patio where Courtney Cox and the actors are doing their scene, and the girl says, "Now when you hear action, I want you to walk from here to there." That's when I really started to panic, because if I'm a person who watches Cougar Town, how could I be in Cougar Town? And the more I start thinking about it, the less any of it makes sense at all. And I just want to turn and run, but it's too late, because the director is calling "Action!" So, before I take my first step, I realize that I have to stop being someone who has ever seen the show, and become a character on the show. Become a man from Cougar Town. You know, someone born there, someone whose name I decide is Chad. And I take my first step as a child learning to walk—as Chad—and with each step it becomes easier, and with each step I start remembering things from Chad's life, like his first kiss under the big tree at Cougar Town field, playing soccer at Cougar Town Junior High, finding my first chest hair in the shower, my first apartment, my first true love falling for my best friend. Birthdays, weddings, car crashes, taxes. Playing charades at Thanksgiving. Chad had lived. Chad had lived more than I had. Then they called, "Cut." And the scene was over, but I wasn't ready to stop being Chad, so I said to the director, "Can I have one more take?" But they were already moving on—Courtney had nailed it. My lips started trembling, my hands and my feet went numb, my knees buckled, and as I fell to the floor... I pooped my pants.

Its funny there would be a thread on Cougar Town the day following my first attempt to watch the show.
The guy playing the bar owner was so obnoxious in his overacting that I lasted 15 minutes before switching channels. Maybe its a good show but I just couldn't take that guy.

Try again. I had the same feeling and someone convinced me to give it another shot.

Is that true, or is that from a blog or something like that..?

He's actually not very obnoxious at all, and his character is much funnier if you know his history (at first he was a bit of a womanizing douche, but now he's engaged to CC's character and is a shadow of his former self). My gf has watched an episode or two with me, and she can't stand the Laurie character.
And last night's return of Penny Can was nice...I've missed it.
Last Man Standing is just a fairly straightforward sitcom. It's basically the antithesis of Home Improvement (as Tim is the only man of the house now). It's nothing great, but a solid show for me, and I find myself liking it more and more now.

It's Abed's monologue from the My Dinner With Andre episode of Community.
I took out all the names referenced, and cleaned up to make it flow without Jeff's dialogue, but I felt like it was appropriate for this thread.

Ah. It did kinda sound a little familiar at times.
Also, the little blurb on the title card of CT last night was about Abed.

I like cougar town as well, I haven't really kept up at all this season but it's solid. I think abc may be bringing it back ons more year just to get it to syndication
Is last man the Tim Allen show? I haven't even bothered to check that out

Yeah. It's nothing special, but I like it though.
The wife in it is fairly rational, if that will sway you. Unlike certain other Tim Allen show wives..

I'm a big Tim Allen fan and Last Man Standing is pretty funny. It's pretty similar to the macho type character he played in Home Improvement but it's still pretty funny.

ABC cancelled Cougartown
However.....
TBS picked it up for 2 15 episode seasons.

Seriously? Do you have a link?
That's bad news (with a little good news thrown in).
