Non-SEC Fans, what do you dislike the most about the SEC?

quote:

A. The idiotic fans who can't appreciate quality football outside of the SEC(Not the Southeast, just the SEC).

quote:

B. The media's love for the SEC and constant nut hugging
.

quote:

C. The SECs current run in winning, and winning national titles.

Nothing irks me more than when talking football, and a buffoon pops in and starts with the SEC! SEC! SEC! garbage. You can't give credit to any team, because they aren't gifted with the talent that the now 14 SEC schools possess. It's as if having that SEC patch on your jersey makes you superhuman or something, because USC/Texas/Oklahoma/tOSU/Michigan don't deserve to be talked about in the same sentence as an SEC school.

Point being, the Big12. Why do you disrespect Big12 teams so much? Sure, they(Oklahoma) had a run of bad luck, losing to far superior teams in BCSNCGs..but they are still a respectable program. Texas without their QB gave Alabama a hell of a game. But, they don't have "SEC athletes"(when most of their athletes are from Texas, and are just as good) so therefor, aren't worthy of discussion.

Finally, the "SEC loyalty" card. "We" won 6 national titles in a row. "We" won the title again in 2011. This makes me absolutely sick. I've heard LSU fans(none in my social circle)saying atleast it was to an SEC team, and not Oklahoma State. What the frick??

I never root for SEC teams in bowl games. Why would I want schools like Auburn, Alabama, Florida, etc. to end their year on the right foot and have a better edge in recruiting the same players my school is recruiting? Why do I want an SEC team not named LSU to win the national title? It blows my mind, that this mentality exist.

/END RANT.

I'm from the south, the team I route for is in the sec, so why not beat my chest a little and represent the sec too? I can't control the talent or the wins but if the teams are better in the sec then I'll rub it in! You can't win 6 in a row and not be tabbed the best! Facts are facts... Better talent = more wins = 6 championships

You root for the NFC south in the playoffs if the saints aren't in contention?

The Southeast produces talent on par with Texas, Ohio, and California.

I never said the SEC wasn't the best conference.

As a fan I want to see the best football... Athletes are bigger, faster, and stronger in the SEC! Have you watched a big 10 or ACC football game lately? Snoooooze

I'm not talking about conferences in general, I'm talking about the SEC's fans downplaying quality football played at specific schools.

Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma, Florida State, Texas, etc. put out just as many NFL prospects as SEC teams.

You can't bitch at the media for riding the money train... Championship teams produce ratings... That's why the media slobbers over the sec.... It's the circle of life lol

I always root for sec teams in bowl games.

For the guy talking about the NFC South teams. The Falcons can go 0 for 100 and lose every game by 50 points and I would still want more. frick their coach, frick matt ryan, frick roddy white, and frick their terrible fans.

2 points

I feel the same way about Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, etc.

Most fans in other conferences feel the same as well

Hell no, and I don't root for SEC teams other than LSU. I rooted for Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc. (Ok, I didn't root for Ohio State, I can't stand those pricks)

True, but in California, they mostly want to play offense. In the south, they live to kill a QB.

I don't think the talent in the Southeast is any better, it just seems like every team, other than Vandy, has at least a few really special players, while you look at the Big 12 and they have Iowa State. (cue Okie lite jokes)

The SEC is by far the best conference, everyone knows that.

You have the teams that win championships in the SEC (AU/BAMA/LSU) which couldnt care less about everyone else and then you have the rest of the SEC who constantly pump up the conference in an effort to make them feel better about themselves.

Texas has been to more national title games in the past 7 years(lets just say decade) than 9/12 SEC schools, and just as many as 12/12.

it's a dumb arguement. You are pissed because the SEC produces the best football in the college ranks. I'd be willing to bet that LSU or Bama from this past season could beat some of the lesser NFL teams.

I'll root for any SEC team as long as they aren't playing the Bulldogs. I'm not so ignorant to the point that I will root for a rival team and their fans to rot in hell or die in a crash or something childish and trivial. Any sport at any level is simply entertainment purposes. Fans that wish ill things to happen to other fans based on the sole fact that they support a different colored jersey is absolutely retarded.
