will be doing a taste of louisiana in Lake Charles on the 24th. I will set up 6 stations. first station will serve cracklins and hog head cheese...second station boudin...third crawfish pies...forth will be jambalaya...fith will bered beans and rice and the sixth will serve king cake.
I can get all these items in Baton Rouge but there may be better places between here and Lake Charles.Any suggestions?

Dons and Best Stop has good cracklins and boudin. Cankton/Scott exit west of Laffy on I-10. Sonniers in Lake Chuck also has good sausage/boudin.Check these places for hog head cheese or maybe Poches in Breaux Br. Not sure on your other items. Can you make the red beans and jambalaya?

The smoked boudin in Bergeron's in Port Allen is very good. I believe they have cracklin', also.

I don't care for their crawfish pies, but the meat pies are good and they are a taste of another part of Louisiana.

I could put you in touch with some places if you wanted to buy it local. Exactly what is th event and venue? Are you serving all of this or how is it going to be served and how would you need the food prepared and delivered to you?
