BTW do any of you see who the voters are in the coaches poll? I've never heard of some of these schools, and others have no business ranking college baseball imho
The USA TODAY/ESPN Board of Coaches is made up of 31 coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the American Baseball Coaches Association. The board for the 2012 season:

Well they obviously have piss poor team, thus, giving them more time to evaluate rankings...? I don't know. I've never even heard of some of those programs. The coaches poll is always the worst IMO.

It's a national sport, bro.

And fwiw, UTSA, UNC-Greensboro, Missouri State, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington, SUNY-Stony Brook, & UC-Riverside, have all been known to have pretty solid baseball teams in recent years.

It's not as bad as you think it is. There are 31 conferences that play D1 baseball, and the politics of the NCAA demands a decent amount of representation on various associations and committees.

Also, the Coaches' poll is often better than some of the other polls, especially Baseball America's poll, which is horseshite.
