Also soap is out now and cut bait is in. The water is too clear for soap.

My brother and I used to punch holes in dogfood cans and throw them in a crawfish sack, and sink it upstream of our trot lines... Can't say for sure if it worked or not...

Since catfish rely heavily on tasting the water to find food I would think fish meal or even crawfish bait would work too.

I have heard people having good luck by chumming the water with eletrical current.
