I was there and it was awesome.
The good old days when LSU actually played offense and didn't just lean on the defense to win games.
I was even a big Les Miles fan then, seems like a million years ago.

I was looking for the fight after the game and this is what I came across. The video brought back great memories so I thought I would share.

Pretty sure 2011 Tigers are #2 all time, in ppg, and total points for a season (behind #1 2007)

The top 2 scoring offenses in LSU history belong to that goofy azz, can't coach, Miles.

where did we rank in ypg and ypp?

Not top 5, but some of the top 5 never won the SEC, as the coach couldn't put together a defense. Miles teams own 3/5 top yds per season with '11 at 5th all time.
ypg and ypp =/= Ws necessarily.
Miles LSU teams hold the top 3 spots and 4/5 for rushing and passing TDs, with '11 team at #2, if you try taking the defensive scoring angle to dis the O's production.

Miami was already a leaking ship because Larry Coker quit recruiting talented players.
Miami had nine players that were drafted after that season. All nine made NFL rosters. LSU had five drafted.

to say LSU killed Miami is foolish
bad talent evaluation and shitty development were big factors, but the main factor was not finding a great QB post-dorsey
FSU and Miami fell off b/c they couldn't find a QB

JR got hurt in the SEC championship against UGA. Flynn played the Chick-Fil-A bowl game and proceeded to light Miami up for several records. One was 12 consecutive scroring drives (mostly field goals, but still). Everybody on that team thought he had taken over the starting QB job. Les comes back from touring Iraq and announced before fall practice that JR would be the starter, and I almost had a heart attack. Flynn was by far a better QB.

Pretty sure I meant the seasons that you don't cite. I was referring more to the JJ years, where our offense has sucked donkey balls...check your media guide. 2011 was also good for 8 games until Boy Wonder got his starting position back. We didn't get a single first down in the first half of the seccg and didn't cross the 50 in the NC with zero points.

Did you predict that Flynn and Steltz would not be drafted and if they were they would not make an NFL roster?
I remember you were high on Brohm.
