College awards = great success predicting draft position

The thing with Tyrann is he is going to have to use all his ability to be a sort of utility player. He'll never make it as a straight CB, but he may be able to cut it at a nickelback position where he can also blitz and he will have to excel on both sides of special teams (return game and gunner)
You might can even get him involved on offense.

I say he would be a fool to leave after next unless he greatly improves his coverage skills. Even if he does I say late 2nd/3rd round at best. His size will affect his draft status. If he was 6' tall i say he would be 1st round. 2nd round without improved coverage skills

If tebow can be drafted in the first rd as a QB, TM7 can be drafted there as a CB.
It only takes one team to fall in love with him.

Great playmaker will make some team happy as a returner but doubtful he will be anything more than a number #3 CB. His size works against (yes LSU list him 5'9" 190 but that is exaggerated)
He is going to be a player who was great in college but maybe hangs on in NFL via special teams (still making 300k plus)

The Saints are trading their 1st round pick to Pittsburgh? Did I miss something in tonight's draft?
Posted on 4/27/12 at 12:01 am to Tiger Live2
Haha..I would be fine with that too.

There is literally no way TM7 could possibly cover Megatron. Ever.

he'll need to run well and have a great year in coverage to think about top 15
as of now, 65-90 pick
This. If he has a big year returning punts he might push himself up some. The only thing keeping him from top 15 is one on one coverage with bigger recievers.

I remember when LSU fans were sure that Holliday would be a 1st round return specialist.
With the NFL considering removing returns, I dont see much of a place for Matheiu in the league.

Late 1st/Early 2nd round
To the Saints.
And he'll be a great pro.

I think he goes second round... Unless he has a BETTER season this year and his coverage skills improve. Then we r lookin at another 1st rounder

The only way TM7 gets drafted is as a receiver.
He is a walking mismatch in the NFL.
As a corner he isnt very good, even at LSU. He just has the super power to slap people in the back of the head and make them fumble.

Hes def not a shut down corner but he can cover the slot and blitz

That is the problem, the offense can and will match a bigger receiver in the slot and pass over him every time.
He makes his mark forcing fumbles, and in the NFL a 5'8 cornerback isnt going to hit people hard enough to force fumbles.
