Best bait for hogs?

What have yall found that works the best for baiting these bastards, other than plain corn? Looking to smoke some bacon real soon.

sour some corn in a sealed 5 gallon bucket in the sun by filling the bucket with 3/4 corn and covering the corn in warm water.
try sweet smells.
I have had good success with root beer, rasberry jello, and strawberry jello, but the most success with cheap pinapple soda mixed with 2-3 packs of sugar free rasberry jello.
some guys swear by mixing the corn with diesel but at 4.19 a gallon I have not done this.
any rotting or over rippe fruit will work well too.

The guys I know do this so coons and other critters leave the corn alone. Nothing will touch it but the hogs.

Also make a drip bottle and hang it over the pile of food. Fill it with orange juice or some type of fruit juice. Cut a bunch of oranges in half and throw them on the pile.

Do whats listed above then take a pair of post hole diggers and dig a post hole. Pour the recipe in the hole. The hogs will spend more time at the bait site digging and rooting giving you a better shot at being there. Plus your bait will last longer.
DO NOT DO THIS IN A ROAD, PATH, OR FOOD PLOT.
When the pigs get done digging there will be a hole that you could hide a four wheeler in.

appreciate it guys. Gonna go give it a shot this weekend. Anyone know where the law lays in Mississippi hunting them at night? They are tearing the hell outa my property.

I`m not sure cause I moved from MS 3 years ago but I don`t think they allow night hunting but don`t take my word for it.

Wild hogs may be hunted, taken, killed, chased or pursued on private lands during daylight and nighttime hours throughout the year with no firearm restrictions. Wild hogs may also be hunted, taken, killed, chased or pursued on private lands with dogs, except during the spring turkey season.
Hunting Hogs With the Aid of Bait
Wild hogs may be hunted with the aid of feed/bait except whole, chopped, or ground-up grains. Bait/feed may be placed on or above the ground, year-round, in any type container for the purposes of hunting wild hogs only.

I have done this and it works exceptionally well...
I would recommend touching base with a wildlife and fisheries agent to be sure you are all up to snuff before night hunting...a little communication on the front end could save you quite a bit of harassment if they were to think that you are night hunting for deer...
