Is he having a resurgence? It seems like he's been in a lot of previews for upcoming films lately- Prometheus, Lawless, that shitty sci fi movie that came out last week I think. He was also in The King's Speech.
I feel like he wasn't in anything for a long time, but I hope to see him get more work.

Last good movie of his I saw was a tight little neo-noir thriller, First Snow.
Written by two the guys that wrote Children of Men. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

I love Brad Pitt; but not really. They are actually pretty good teachers. Pitt doesn't get the credit but he is one of the best character actors out there. Pierce is really really good at playing a believable non character role. If that makes sense. Pitt's normal guy isn't as impressive as Pierce's and vice versa. If that makes sense.

That's exactly my point. Memento came out in 2000, it feels like Pearce is having a comeback after disappearing for a long time.

I liked him in Momento, Count of Monte Cristo, and Ravenous

Pearce and JGL can do no wrong on here.
Oh, and Nolan directing...would be a wet dream for some.

Go check out the proposition. He was awesome in that and the movie was excellent

He's in Lockout...
:A man wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates."
Which sucks...but that hot chick from Taken is in it. It's basically Die Hard on a Space Station but you don't care what happens - mindless action, stupid execution.

I wouldn't say it's a resurgence. He's just never grasped on to the leading man role like most thought he would. More of a choice, IMO. Memento, L.A. Confidential, and Count of Monte Cristo were clear opportunities for him to cash in, but he just hasn't done it. Been a solid actor throughout. His brief moment in the beginning of "The Hurt Locker" was just as solid.

The love for JGL gets on my nerves and I kinda like the guy, but Yeesh you'd think he was DDL around here. I think the respect Nolan gets is well deserved though. I've never thought Pierce got a ton of love, underrated if anything.

Ok well let me put it in layman's terms for you. I kid I kid.
I guess what I was trying to say look at how many roles Pierce has stretched himself. Not all that many. Now look at Pitt. How many had he? Benjamin Button, Snatch, Twelve Monkeys, Assasination of JJ, Burn After Reading, some might disagree but I'd add Inglorious Basterds, ect. Does that mean Pierce is a bad actor? Not at all. He's an awesome actor; but for me, the two are awesome in different ways.
Edit: Hey, quit acting like I ain't the dumbest person around here
