What if Barry Sanders could've run behind the Dallas Cowboys O-Line in the 90s.

I think the biggest what if's are injuries. An outcome that was decided by inches is a what if in the sense that, maybe if he shot it a little right it goes in, but an injury, thats a what if he doesn't suffer that freak injury and becomes the starting TB? What if he doesn't get injured in his prime and never recover? So, with that in mind, Greg Oden, Willis Mcgahee, and Brandon Webb are a few recent athletes that had so much potential cut short and are definitely what ifs'.

Definitely. Thinking about "what if" Greg Oden & Brandon Roy had stayed healthy makes me want to

What if the Astros didn't trade Larry Anderson for an unknown in Jeff Bagwell..

ETA - yes, they'd have the same amount as WS titles as they do now

What if Saban doesn't leave LSU? A decision that would have potential impacts on LSU, Alabama, Dolphins and Saints. Three of the four teams would go on to win championships because of the decision.

I think one player can have a huge impact on a franchise, more so then getting to a championship and losing it. On the Bartman play, the Cubs still had many chances to win or put them away and they didn't. So, one play can break the hearts of fans and one player can break a franchise. Portland with their poor draft picks and injuries and so on. Portland would be elite if Oden and Roy were healthy. Also, Mcgahee could have been considered one of the best ever after what he did at Miami.

Alou may or may not have caught the ball, and Alex Gonzales still boots the grounder.

One things is for certain, no one knows who Steve Bartman is, and his life is much better off.

Probably only one would have won one if he stays.

What if Bear Bryant takes the Dolphin job?

What if the AFL holds out for a baseball-type equal league merger?

What if the Federal League survived?

The Saints and Alabama definitely can thank Saban for their championships, but if Saban stays at LSU, I think there's a good chance LSU has at least 1 more crystal ball, and probably 2, assuming the same players were on the team (which is pretty much a retarded assumption )
