Saw on 247 where Tevin Lawson is an OT.

Makes sense to me since there are no top OT looking at us (besides Tunsil).

WIth Gilmore, Manning and Lacoutre looking at us for DT, can you see Lawson being a Right Tackle?

No, I think DT all the way. If he does play OL it will probably be at OG.

Maybe at RT. I can definitely see him being an OL.

Agree. His 1st shot will be DT unless we load up at DT and strikeout at OT. Both are possible but still side with DT being his 1st landing spot

Dt if we miss out on Manning.

I don't think Manning has anything to do with it. Lawson was apparently not on the radar until he moved from OL to DT; then he very quickly received a commitable offer. I don't know why they'd offer him at DT when they never really considered him at OL, if they really thought he'd eventually move to OL.

Him playing DT for us has absolutely nothing to do with Manning.

He has only played DT for one season in High School and will be a great DT in our scheme when he learns the position.

If you watch his film on Hudl, a good bit of it is at offensive tackle and it's pretty impressive.

This guy is just a really good big athlete. You can play him anywhere on the line of scrimmage and he'll do well.

Agree. Has great long term potential at DT but the versatility to play OL if that fits best in the future. Never know with these kids until they're on campus and the coaches see them compete against kids bigger and stronger than them. Gutcheck. i do like him more as a DT though. We've got plenty of guys similar in size and skill on the OL.

Exactly he has only played DT... Do not understand the reasoning behind his offer...

Dude played half a season at dt and blew it up. Very raw as a dt. Coaches want him at dt, but no telling after a couple years.

this.... he will be given a shot only at DT if we don't get all the DLmen we are targeting this year 1.) because they would be better and he wouldn't see the field at DL and 2.) because he's more versatile to be able to switch as opposed to the other guy's we'd be bringing in....

so basically, he's a DT, unless we get higher rated DT's, in which case we'll Barksdale him....
