Obviously, some Gumps don't have the capacity to comprehend visual metaphors.
Please name another picture that illustrates another unwanted "bad break" for Bama as perfectly as this one picture does.

I really thought If I got any bitching from Bammers, it'd be over Trent being the fumbler (which was rare, outside of LSU games), not the hinted-at foreboding "omen" in the background.
Some sensitive & irrational Gumps are calling me classless, tasteless, and butt-hurt (which the latter doesn't even make sense.) They think this is the equivalent of having used a Tuscaloosa Tornado aftermath pic where people had actually lost loved ones (which would have been totally inappropriate & btw, wouldn't have fit the metaphor even if I were Mr Tasteless).
True story: The day after Lawrence Taylor snapped Joe Theisman's leg, LT called Joe & Joe told him that LT managed to break both bones in Joe's leg. LT said, "That's because I don't do anything half way".
(Now Bammers, you aren't allowed to chuckle at that ...no matter that Joe didn't go to your school or because significant time has passed... but because you guys never laugh at gridiron "bad breaks", right?)

There is only one person to blame for Prothro's leg and lost career: Mike Shula.
He was running up the score on UF in the 4th Qtr, up 28 pts and throwing deep into the end zone on 4th down. Classless!
