From LSU press conference room?

If he's going on there to discuss Pitt's signing class then he is not coming to LSU, IMO.
He would have declined the interview.

Just curious, how did Dixons name become a candidate? Seems way out of our league.

From where?
You guys make me laugh thinking that a coach talking about recruits means he isn't leaving. They will talk about their current team up until about 1 minute before they leave. Him talking Pitt recruiting would mean nothing.

I he sign one of the top centers in the country so he must have a good class coming in. So we must be out of there.

Sorry, a coach who is on the verge of leaving his school for another is not going on national tv discuss his current school's signing class.
ETA: One example off the top of my head is Urban Meyer canceling his covering of the Ohio St. game last season when he was rumored for the job. Not exactly the same situation, but a coach is gonna want to stay out of the limelight while negotiations are ongoing.

Yep. You do NOTHING outwardly suspicious until the press conference.

i remember a coach being all cornhuskers then next day he is at LSU

This actually gives more legs to the meeting having already happened today if he was scheduled to speak on TV tonight it would have been on campus.

As of this moment he is still the Pitt HC so he still has to do everything as if his the Pitt HC

I guess he could have committed himself to the interview a while back and didn't want to back out last minute...
Posted on 4/11/12 at 6:51 pm to Mickey Goldmill
Even if he committed this morning and then went to meet with LSU and is in serious talks. If he is a true candidate and has interest, he is going to do everything possible to cover his tracks and not let anyone know. So like a poster said he will do nothing out of the ordinary until the press conference.
