DIrect has a multiroom DVR that can record 5 channels at once. It seems pretty badass. I was gonna go with them at my new house later this year. TimeWarnerCable service where i live has been abysmal. DISH didnt have this multiroom deal last time I looked.

Somebody convince me I'm wrong.

eta: Just saw DISH now has the hopper multiroom dvr. Still sounds like DTV may be better, but I'll think on it.

yea.. thats there Home Media Center i believe.

Dish just released their 'Hopper', which i think does more, maybe 6 shows at once and greater storage..

ive had Dish for about 5 years, and am happy with it.. I am thinking about switching to Direct TV for a couple of years, just because the 2 year initial plan will save me about $40/month..

i honestly think that Direct and Dish are pretty much the same now.. Dish is a little bit cheaper, but the channel lineups are basically the same

If im ranking providers..

1. Verizon Fios
2. ATT Uverse (but depends on stupid shite, like how far down the street you live from the main connection point)
3. Dish/Direct
4. Everything Else
