With LSU bringing in a new coach, we might be able to get some of those recruits that hews had lost.

No, he is not signed. Just committed to Baylor so LSU or any other school could be an option for him, at least in theory.

So his issue was with TJ and now with him gone, he would come to LSU with the right hire?

it'd be more of RL turning him around and I think Gathers wanted to be at LSU all along but didn't want to play for Trent. I'm not sure if this short amount of time is enough for the staff to flip him now though

I think Alleva has known for a week about Trent, I believe the guy is in place already. Funny how Trent mentions Jones like they were working together on this. With signing period this week, Alleva had to act quick. Then I hear tonight from someone very reliable that things are in place to flip Gathers. To me it's obvious at this point. JJ is the new head coach.

If Jones can pull Gathers, the process of getting the program back on top speeds up dramatically.
