Talent does win games
I don't think he meant talent helping win games, I think he was talking about people who act like talent alone wins games. And aside from the likes of Towson, Ole Miss and Western Kentucky, it doesn't. Recruiting is a big part of winning in major college football, but no one ever recruited an 11-win season in the SEC without doing a pretty damn good bit of coaching them up.

Yeah, no idea on this one.

Les is a top 10 coach. I wouldn't say #1 or #2 like some others but yes top ten.

Positives:
1. Recruits well---Hires well---Great face for university---Hard Worker---Good CEO skills---Likes competition.

Areas I wouldn't put him in top 10:
Game day coaching--(making adjustments/clock mgmt)

Utilizing game day leads to substitute and improve areas for future performance.

All in all a great coach--probably top 5 that loves LSU. We are fortunate to have him.

CUM offense didn't work without a once in a generation player like Tebow.

and Saban didn't have a dominant defense at Michigan State.

This just in, you need great players to win big

Statistically, yes he is a top 10 coach easily. In other aspects, not so much. At least in my opinion. I'm negative though.

So basically results be damned, you don't think he's that great just cause?

Of course he is.

FACT: Had Saban not gotten a mulligan last year, it would currently be Miles and no one else.

He'd be 2, but CUM has returned and has 2 titles as well.

Lost the most important historical game of his career that could have been won if the work had been put into play. too blase' and stubborn to be a top coach. Not fair to a talent laden team.

Hiring coaches, yes

Recruiting, yes

Game time planning, questionable

Making correct decisions during game, questionable

He's a top 5 coach at the least and top 2 coach at best, jerky.

It's funny I even have to ask

Maybe more sad than funny that have to ask.

To this point in time, LM is the most successful football HC in LSU history and based of LSU being #1 among BCS schools in wins since 2005, he's been one of the most successful HCs in college football.

Top 5 active....hands down.

Just win, baby, just win!

FACT: Regardless of whatever mulligan Alabama got this past football season, they still were a top 2 team all year, so it really doesn't really matter.

Nick Saban made Les Miles look like a complete chump, and showed exactly who was the better team and coach.
