I've met him before. He played flag football with some of my friends this past semester. Real nice guy who is determined to get back on the field. The doctors told him he's lucky to be alive. He knows the risks of getting injured again but is willing to risk that because he loves the game. Hope he makes it.

I wish the best for this young man and hope he leads a long and productive life.

Having said that, no team is going to let him play a contact sport.

I worked with him for a few off seasons, real nice guy. From the stories he told me and the way the LSU Athletic Department talked to him about his career, i would be very surprised if the NFL allows someone to play who hasn't played since high school because of a broken neck that happened while playing. I wish him the best though and hope he goes far in life. I think he would be a great DB coach one day.

I'm glad you joined TD, Delvin.

FWIW, I reffed some of this guy's games in flag football and he is ridiculously athletic

Thanks Delvin.

Nah, Delvin use to post here a long time ago under dbro6 or something like that.

From all accounts, he's a great guy and a lot of his family and friends post on here. I wish him the best in trying to continue to play football.

That being said UA11, I don't think any team will ever let him play with his injury history. Too much liability. I don't think he's played since high school.

Is he considering playing Arena League or Canadian league or anything like that? That may be his best bet, but I think that still may be a long shot. Best of luck to him though.
