Are all great players, it's hard to say who is the best.
In 10 years when we have a great player who someone thinks might be the best ever it will be "No way, TM was a much better player"
People will always pick the older guy as better when it comes to a current player, always

Not even the best player at his position on this team so no.

I hope you're joking. I swear our fan base has to be in the top 5 of fan bases that shite on their own players. Good god. Yeah the NATIONAL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR isn't the best player at his position.

Cannon's era was different. Would Cannon be successful in today's game? IMO No. Game is MUCH faster!

FAIL

yes Cannon's era was different, but he would have no problem with speed or strength.

Exactly. Cannon would have no problem playing in this era. Some need to check his 100 times. He was fast as hell and I think he won the SEC title in shotput. He wasnt this little white guy from the 60's. Dude was strong and fast as shite.

It's crazy. He did get beat some on Jan.9th but every corner gets beat. Even the greatest corners ever get beat. It's become some myth on here tat he can't cover. It couldn't be further from the truth.

TM is top 3 if he never plays another game. If he continues his domination next year, he takes the crown.

It's just bc he is small people assume he can't cover, he may get bodyed up by a bigger guy sometimes, but he's so great he makes up for it

I hope so, but it's way too early to assume next season will be the equal of last year. I think opposing coaches will stress ball security to the max and we probably won't see as many stripped balls. Just a guess. His punt return ability may come to the fore, though, if the other big plays taper off. It's really, really hard for anyone to maintain that level of play every year. We can just hope so.

But too early to say best in LSU history. Not top 2, maybe top 3. Kevin Faulk has a say in this conversation too...and he played on some chitty teams.

That's the point, the fact that he "could" be if he keeps producing like he is, even for just one more season.

Dude, Tommy Casanova makes TM look like shite. And I'm not hating on TM, he is a great playmaker.
