Not sure who the frick that is... but I'll rephrase. I'm not going to autopick in an auction draft.
This year my friend was late to our fantasy football auction, the computer auto nominated Cam Newton for a dollar and he got him for 1 dollar. We laughed....then we cursed two months later.

What are the pros and cons of K and K/9? Im not sure I know the difference...(this is only my 2nd year in Fantasy Baseball)

The drawback of K is that you just throw any pitcher out there and by starting more guys you can just win the category.
On the other hand, K stats are more accessible (like while watching a game) and are well understood by everyone. K/9 is not complicated at all, but you never see their K/9 just watching a game. However, this is not a big deal at all.
K/9 prevents people from just throwing bums out there to try to win the K category. However, I feel that the ERA and WHIP categories prevent people from throwing Brian Matusz (sample ERA killer) just to accumulate strikeouts.
K/9 makes pitchers like Josh Johnson (or previously Rich Harden) even more valuable when they are healthy. These guys may only throw six innings, but they strikeout a ton of batters. For example, Sabathia may strikeout 8 guys in 9 IP, while Johnson fans 8 in 6 IP, so JJ would have a better K/9 than CC.
Both stats have their merits and potential drawbacks. Just a matter of personal preference. I felt like I would leave this one up to the league.

Please send your $25 entry fee to c.melissas@yahoo.com through Paypal. Payment is due on March 24th.
If we have 12 players, then first will receive $200, second $75, and third $25.
If we only keep this current ten (but we should be able to get at least one or two more), then first will receive $200 and second will receive $50.

Is anyone here have the team name Mudhens?
I think a rando may have joined.
If he pays, then he can play. That would put us at 11.
FWIW, I made a co-manager for my team. It is just a second email account. My email account has been acting a little funny, so I wanted a backup way to enter the league in case I got locked out.
I think I will make sure the league is restricted.

Is leaguesafe free?
I will use it if it is.

Let me try out. If it is free, then I will switch to that.
It makes more sense due to the fact that this is not a league of personal friends. However, it if costs, then we should probably stick with Paypal.

I am good with either leaguesafe or Paypal.
me as well. whatever the league wants to do.
I think you are going to run into a problem asking for people to pay by the 24th, though. Maybe by opening day is more reasonable to have everyone pay up. Just my 2 cents. Your league do what you want. lol I don't want you to feel like im stepping on your toes

I mean who can't come up with 25 dollars
Posted on 3/10/12 at 9:29 pm to MrWiseGuy
I have decided to stick with Paypal. It is a really safe and trustworthy site.
Opening day is the 28th. Oakland vs. Seattle in Japan. Plus, the draft is on the 25th. I think it is necessary to have payment in before the draft.
