Ok let me clarify the whole LB issue here! Bama does want him as a RB or a LB. The kid is also a stud LB and from what he has told me personally is that he likes the defensive side of the ball more than the offensive bc he likes to punish people. The only reason he saw legit time at LB last year was because Bama coaches wanted some film on him as a LB. Dude my cousin is Burns son and we talk at least once a week about this shite and definitely when we go out on the weekends.

To H Town the guys that are in his ear now are the guys that LSU had no shot with back in the day. And now they love that little troll bc he was the first one to actively recruit St. Aug again. I was at St Aug and he came to speak to us days after he was hired! And by the way frick Alabama!

Time for Stud to get fired, give a raise and promotion to OC for Wilson and unload the piggy bank for Burns

I've said for a long time, besides Kevin Faulk, the most important recruit for LSU the last 20-25 years was Marquise Hill (I know he was DeLasalle). One of the best things Saban did at LSU was to mend fences with St Aug and the black community in NOLA. It really sucks if he's using those contacts now to hurt LSU. I hope Wilson, along Austin and Turner can get Fournette to LSU.

Anyway we can get Stud an HC job somewhere in the MAC or something? And if we can't get burns, maybe me can get a promotion somewhere else? Perhaps Smart can take him when he gets a HC gig

Apparently Burns has made it known to a few people that he will only be at Bama a couple more years. His family isnt too enamored with his current workload and has moved back to New Orleans, where they probably see him more than they did in Tuscaloosa.

If I had to guess, he'll announce his departure after the 2014 signing day.

Austin and Turner just need to say "You see how much you had to work without us? Come to LSU and you will be behind us again"

The stuff with Ingram and Richardson would matter if Bama has offered him as a RB. Their offer to Fournette as of now is a LB

why do you believe everything you read on the interwebz? this is ridiculous

That and it should be wide open for him at LSU in 2014 if we only take 1 RB in 2013, it could be just Hill left by the time Fournette hits campus.

FWIW the whole family besides him and Connie have been back in New Orleans at least three years now. I think Connie is ready to come back to the city and that might be motivation for it.

Easy steps to huge success for LSU:

1. Fire Stud
2. Fire Ensminger
3. Promote Wilson to OC
4. Hire Burns to be RB coach/recruiting coordinator/whatever it takes to get him here.
5. Hire O-Line coach
6. ?

7. CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Henry can coach receivers and tight ends. Isn't Ben Wilkerson like a grad assistant right now? Well, there ya go, another former LSU player to join with Raymond in that category

I like you. :nohomo:

We still have a couple of years to sway him, but Louisiana is always loaded with top-tier RB talent. If we don't get him I'm sure they'll be a board meldown, but we'll survive.

Burns coached at Southern and Tulane correct? Is he from St Aug? Does he have any issues with LSU?
