How is that absurd? People who don't go to the theatre more than once a month shouldn't have an opinion? I'd much rather watch classic movies at home, knowing they are good than spend money on some mediocre money. If a movie gets really good reviews or is something I'm looking forward to, then I'll go to the theatre. You wouldn't have nearly as good of a board around here if only people who have seen 15+ movies from 2011 could post.
