Raptors and Wizards are by far the worst. I am a Texans fan and I think the Texans name is cheesy. The logo is great, but the name Texans restricts their marketing IMO.

If you look at the team names from the WNBA and women's pro soccer league in the US, you will find a ton of names worse than "Raptors."

There was more than 1 incarnation Texans before this version. The Dallas Texans of the AFL became the Kansas City Chiefs.
I'm a Texans fan and don't care for the name. I wish they could have kept the Oilers name and history, but que sera.
To the OP, when you include the city, then names like Utah Jazz or LA Lakers are really stupid, but for just the nickname, Raptors is up there. It was clearly done in the fog of Jurassic Park popularity. I don't follow MLS, but some of those teams copy famous Euro team is really, really stupid.
