Alabama Under Siege.....

In case you didn't know it - FSU (Jimbo Fisher & Dameyune Craig) plucked three studs from under Nicky's nose - Chris Casher DE ****, Justin Shanks DT **** & last but not least Jameis Winston QB ***** - It made my day a little brighter!

LSU still has more team talent...
We just didn't have a pass offense at the end of the season for whatever reason

if this helps you sleep at night, i guess....
i'm not ready to throw up any white flags to Alabama yet, but it IS a cause of concern when you lose the top 3 in your state at positions of need.... i know, i know, we got a lot of LBs in this class, and Landon is overrated.... i already know....
but let's not piss on each other legs and tell each other it's raining.... it's a cause of concern, that needs to and will be addressed.... we shall see what time will tell....

All I'm saying is he lost 3 of the top 6 players from Alabama to FSU. Even the "Nick the Great" lost a few.

And LSU lost its top 3 in the state to other teams. Bama recruits better nationally right now than LSU, so its a much bigger concern for us than them at this point.

Honestly it's only a concern to fans which is the target of the recruiting sites. Do you really think the sites prime objective is to rank and evaluate these kids for the kids benefit? Some of the analysts maybe but the overall objective of the business is to incite discussion from fans. Hence the basis of the team specific sites to generate the capital of the site. Our coaches are not concerned with the perception that Bama recruits better nationally. They are more concerned about getting talent into LSU and that fit what they want to do. Granted they recognize the Bama staff's ability to recruit and develop but secondary to their own wants and needs in recruiting.
Collins isn't overrated nor is Davis imo. Devall is only overrated in our system. He fits Bama's better. For ours he is a tweener. Not a LB and not really long enough at DE. He could be effective at LSU but fits better at Bama.

Meh I wouldn't say we lost the top 3 players. Plus im fine with swapping kwon for devall and Thompson for collins. I am a lil upsetting about losing davis, but it is what it is. Everyone has diff opinions, so I really don't like when people throw out the we lost the top 3 players as if that's some concrete knowledge that everyone agrees on.

I can live with that, when Alabama still inked a #1 class. Regardless, I don't like seeing Alabama only sign five of the Top Ten, but it's a good enough trade-off in the end. It wasn't a particulary deep year in Alabama. I think the same can be said for Louisiana.

Rivals, ESPN, and 247Sports all had Alabama ranked #1. Not all of them thought as highly of Casher and Shanks for the reasons I stated in an earlier post. Jameis Winston is what it is. We couldn't stay in those sweepstakes with a floundering baseball program.

Capstone, as usual, answers with facts. Anyone who has been following recruiting knows that the guys Bama closed late with > the abovementioned players upside.
that being said, I'm sure that FSU will be attacking AL and GA with a much greater effort in future years. How long depends on how much Jimbo manages to do less with more.
The OP is misleading. Bama doesn't care anymore about winning all instate recruits. If anyone hasn't noticed, they go OOS to get their big guns...and that goes for AU too.
You can't apply the LA Fence thing to Alabama. They share the state with AU and other schools. They recruit nationally, so the OP isn't going to goad many UA fans.....
