I have a Centipede lawn and it is starting to grow with this warm weather. Should I apply any sort of chemicals now? And if so what should I apply? TIA

Scotts Bonus S. Kills the weeds and feeds the lawn

Is this a good time to apply those products?

I'd wait another few weeks at least. I'm no guru though.

I also have some Bremuda that tries to grow which I normally control with Vantage. Should I attack the Bremuda before using the Weed and Feed?

Weed and feed won't get rid of Bermuda. You'll have to spot kill it, anything that kills Bermuda will kill centipede.

too early for Scotts Bonus S weed and feed. Read the instructions. Each year people get all gitty and try to use it too soon.

I've got a Bermuda lawn so what do I know. Weed and feed will fertilize Bermuda though, so I'd do a weed killer and fertilizer in seperate applications.

You really should wait. You don't wanna encourage the grass to come out of dormancy faster than it already is. If we were to get a freeze it will hurt the new growth.
What is the weed situation?

Not many weeds just a few here and there. I pulled all the clover out as it came up. Just wanted to catch the weeds early so hopefully they wont pester me all sumer.

You need to wait. If you fertilize and we get another cold snap, you'll burn your grass and you'll spend all spring/summer trying to get it back. Wait about another month once the warmer weather sets in and then feed.
Good luck.

Then I wouldn't apply any fertilizer till you feel confident we won't get a frost. I would wait till March 1 before applying anything. Then you will want to put down a slow release fertilizer with a 1:0:1 ratio. Something like 15:0:15.
Best of luck.

There is no reason to think about applying fertilizer right now. Especially up there in Arky.
If you are worried about the weeds getting ahead of you, apply a weed killer with 2,4-D in it. That should knock out all your weeds.
Remember the best way to control weeds in a Bermuda is have a thick lawn. This will squeeze all the weeds out.
Best of luck.

I take it you live around Baton Rouge. It's a little early to worry about fertilizer. March would be fine. Use a complete 1-1-1. Slow release would be good.
The Scott's weed and feed is most probably a preemergent pesticide. I don't know the chemical in it. So you have to apply it before any weed seed germinates or it won't do any good. Timing is based on soil temp and number of days above a certain temp. You will have to read the label to figure out when you need to apply it.
In general weed and feeds are convenient but the pesticide needs to be put out before the fertilizer.
