Anyone else glad that this douche didn't get in the HOF? I can't stand whenever he's on Espn. He just comes off as very self centered.

That's my point. It's almost like he's running for office.

I seriously couldn't be happier. I know he deserves to be in and all, but this guy is such an egomaniac that I can't stand him. I know his not getting in is just killing his ego. I hope he gets blueballed every year.

His personality on ESPN has nothing to do with his stats on the field

If we kept out every self centered WR would we have any WRs in the HoF?

By his stats he should get in. Douchebag or not.

Dude is 4th all-time in receptions and receiving touchdowns and 8th all-time in receiving yards. Dude should have been a first-ballot guy.

Based on his actual pro football career he absolutely deserves to be in the hall. I truly dont understand HoF voting. Apparently statistics have nothing to do with it. Kevin Greene has 160 sacks (3rd all time), and he didn't make the cut either.

Most athletes are. That's no reason a player should be left out of the Hall of Fame. That's just stupid

I'd like to see why the voters left him out and why they only take 5 guys in at a time. Stupid rules.

This sort of reminds me of the baseball writers who keep certain guys out because they didn't like them for some stupid reason. fricking prissy teenage girls, the lot of them.

I can't stand Chris Carter.

I don't necessarily not want him in the HOF, but I just wanted to publicly give him a big "frick you" for dropping 'come on man' on us.

fricking ESPN, like they do, have run it straight into the ground and failed to notice that it has, and still does, suck.

Last night on ESPN, he was on a 2-man panel with Keyshawn Johnson, and I'm drawing a blank on who the host was, but the host was basically congratulating him in advance for his election today. At first Carter was like well, it's not a done deal, but then added "yet", and seemed to have some cockiness about him. Keyshawn then said, Man, you're IN, like I mean, you are already IN", and CC seemed to be nodding in agreement, but didn't want to jinx himself by verbalizing it.

I'm betting he took it hard today.

Chris Carter does come of a bit dooshish. On Mike and Mike or some other show earlier this week, they were asking him about getting in, and, he was talking about how it felt to await the announcement, and, in describing it he basically all but described waiting on pins and needles and being unbearable to deal with until he found out he was in.

That isn't a quote or even as much paraphrasing, but, basically what I got from it.

I do agree, however, that he should have gotten in.

wow ... i actually could watch cris carter all day ... he tells it like it is ... he brings the X's and O's down to where it is understandable (not as good as Jaws) ... and as far as how good of a WR he actually was ... where does he rank of among the guys of his era?? top 10 IMO .. i am in NO way comparing him to Jerry Rice .. but, i would like to have seen CC in that offense
