Decided on an XD(M) .45 - 3.8 or 4.5 inch barrel?

I can't imagine the length would make that much of a difference for carrying IWB...would it? The 3.8" is 7" and the 4.5" is only 8". The other dimensions are similarly close.

I'm guessing the 4.5" would have better sight radius, probably feel a little better. What says the OB?

Depending on your size, the 3.8 will likely be a lot more comfortable.

I've only shot the 4.5 inch and I liked it. It's kind of a bulky gun for carry anyway, I wouldn't see any reason in getting 3.8" barrel.

I would still think it would be uncomfortable. I'd go smallest you can.

What about the SC?

It depends, would you rather have more accuracy or concealability?

You'd be amazed at what that extra inch can give someone.

The .40 and .45 3.8" are the same size.

Dad has 4.5, Uncle has 3.8

If you want to carry, must go 3.8...just want to shoot at range or home or truck, 4.5

Go with the 3.8, it'll be much more comfortable. One inch can mean a lot especially if you're carrying IWB.
