I thought about it several times, but my wife is a teacher, so the income is the biggest factor against me doing it.
IMO they just don't get paid enough to be going deep into the woods alone, after outlaws who are armed.
I think they have a couple on here (daylover maybe???).

They don't get paid shite and now with the bill that Jindal introduced I expect to see a mass exodus from WL&F. I'll go into further detail later.

USFWS agents make more money, but no guarantee where you'll live....
a lot of LDWF agents I know have other jobs. One I know well watches over and helps manage a pretty nifty 4000 acre place for absent yankee owners....
