Do y'all think he lived up to the hype his 1st year?

When he was in, he was good. He WILL be a force next year

most definitely. dude was spelling a 1st round draft pick as a TRUE freshman. most DTs in the SEC don't even sniff the field their first year. he will be an all-american before it's said and done.

Yes, he absolutely did. Just to be able to get on the field as a True Freshman with the DL that we have is impressive enough. When he was in, he certainly made his presence known. To see a True Freshman get penetration into the backfield and manhandle interior lineman like he did at times this year was insane.

Dear lord yes. That's gotta be one of the toughest positions to play early on, b/c of the size and strength requirements. You can have good moves, but it demands specific attributes that usually aren't developed until you're older. I couldn't believe he saw as much play time as he did with the ridiculous DTs we had this year.

Anthony has the Potential to go down as one of the greatest. I predict in 3 years people will be saying his name in the same sentence as Lavilai and Dorsey.

Not really so much this year, but I see him being a major force in the future

I was half expecting to open the thread and find out he was transferring, had de-committed, quit, declared for the draft or started another rumor about Les Miles and the BCSNCG.
FWIW, yeah, I think he did a pretty good job for being a Freshman.

When he played, he was great.
Looking forward to seeing him play a lot more.

While the guy had alot of hype coming in.... he played quite a bit as a true freshman.. and I am sure he gained a ton of experience from his action this year. We will see the benefits of it next.season. its.a huge step from high school where he was the biggest, strongest player and didn't face many good challenges to the SEC where every OK he faced this year was a challenge.

Yep, the gif that shows up every now and then of Freak splitting a double team and destroying the RB in the backfield is jawdropping. Hopefully we get to see alot more plays like that one next year.

Yes he def lived up to it. There were some plays where he was the fastest off the ball on the entire field, which says alot considering he was lining up with Brockers, Montgomery, and Mingo who are all 1st rounders IMO.

O yeah... It's gunna be fun to watch him the next two years! People forget... We were one year ahead of schedule last year! 2012 was supposed to be "the year" with all the talent!!

How about Collins? Offensive line is tougher to learn than the defensive line, or so I believe. How did he do? And, what should be expected of him in the future?
