I remember Ellis having a good week at the Senior Bowl too. He looked alot like Martin did in the one on one drills, but Martin really got after it on every rep he had.
I know Ellis had a disappointing season but did you ever get the impression that the lack of pass rush from the defensive line was due to the scheme? I mean, they played the run well. I don't want to make excuses for them but having three first rounders on the defensive line and not getting much production from them when rushing the passer is hard for me to accept

In 2010 he looked like he was coming on with 6 sacks. He's playing for a contract this year so we'll see.
I think most are praying that it was the scheme! Vilma, Jenkins, & Robinson 1st Rders too. Rogers, Harper, & Porter 2nds... so ya can't say they haven't been trying to infuse talent.
