How do I stop spam texts?

I'm getting these really lame texts a couple of times a week that are obviously spam.
Goes something like this:
GAGA-Cell blah blah something stupid.
Text 0089-11 for more info! Text STOP to 94785729 if you want to unsubscribe.
So I sent STOP twice or more and they still keep coming. What gives?

Check your bill....from looking online, the correct thing to do is ignore it... If you text back STOP the charge you 9.99
