Episode 4 of Golden Time marked the first time in the series where it got really good. Lots of good plot/drama happening.

I got to the first chapter of the third LN for Golden Time, which is how far it's translated on BT. It's pretty good, although there's a huge element that adds to the narrative in the LNs that hasn't really been addressed in the anime. Although, judging from the preview, that might change next episode

Yeah, I read a bit after the end of 4th episode. I was explaining to my wife and we started watching it. Now that she knows certain things (and rewatching those episodes make me find some of the foreshadowing), she couldn't make it past episode 2.

Yeah, certain things stuck out more by having knowledge of what's to come, such as a certain person's behavior around Banri which would be otherwise fairly subtle

Indeed. She thought the whole situation was incredibly sad. Regardless, show is going to get really good.

I finished the other night. Had a lot of fun watching it and thought it was pretty cool until the end. Berserk was worth it, but it was the same situation that got me to reading that manga and I have no desire to read another like they obviously want me to do with AoT.

Stumbled upon this thread by stroke of luck and glad I did. Always looking for more titles to view in the anime department. Seen a bunch on the OP's list and the list recommended by others.
One I've seen that I didn't notice on the list was Heroic Age. Definitely recommend as it falls in line with many of the space/mech type anime's on the list. It is a bit different in a sense, there aren't actual mech's but the Heroic Tribe characters transform into gigantic creatures that can fight in space with superhuman abilities.
It's 26 episodes and doesn't end on a cliffhanger so there is a definite finish to the story line at hand.

Welcome.
There are multiple titles discussed throughout this thread that aren't on the list as well.
I haven't updated that thing in a long time. I really should get around to that.

Also should get around to updating your list.

No I haven't, but I've heard it's incredible. If I remember correctly, it's basically a coming-of-age story, right?

I watched BlazBlue last night. Can anyone explain to me WTF the show is about?
Posted on 11/1/13 at 6:25 pm to Scruffy
I've only watched a couple of episodes, but I have played Calamity Trigger and I still have no idea wtf is going on

So, it's based off of a video game? That would make sense. I got the vibe that it was video game related somehow.
I also watched four episodes of Strike the Blood last night. I liked it. It doesn't seem like anything extraordinary, but I'm gonna keep following it.

Yeah it is. It's a really good fighting game series. I quite like Strike the Blood, it's interesting to me and I'm alright with it being Light Novel-y
I watched the first episode of Hellsing Ultimate. Holy shite that was awesome

Seras is hilarious
And I ended up watching 3 episodes last night. I'm getting the feeling that one of Alucard/Seras is going to go off the deep end and one will have to kill the other by the end. I just can't figure out who it will be yet, although I feel like if Seras ever actually ends up drinking blood, shite's gonna get real
Also, the dub is really, really good. Funi did a really good job with this one. I'm definitely gonna have to pick it up on BD when I get the chance
