If you could pick one former LSU basketball player in the last 30 years to put on this current team, who you got? I got Chris "Action" Jackson.

Chris Jackson would put LSU in the top 5 right away..
Dude averaged close to 35 a game for 2 years!

Tyrus Thomas... he had some bunny's!

good first post!
it'll be a popular choice, but definitely Shaq.
he'd bring a ton to the court, and fans in the stands.

This.
Just so I could have the chance to watch him live during his prime.

Shaq, pair him with Hamilton and we'd be killing the college game down low.

Since we are already plenty deep down low I'd address a position of need and go with Garrett Temple.
Not the best scorer, but was a lock down defender (ask JJ Redick)

LSU grad Bob Petit averaged 26 points and 16 rebounds in the NBA for his whole career over more than 10 years!
No one else in the history of LSU basketball is fricking close. 6 9". led the league in scoring once at 29.x. Another year he had 27 points and 20 fricking rebounds per game.
I saw Pistol Pete play for LSU. He was great and a lot of fun, the best passer of his generation. I would pick Bob Petit.

Alex Farrer....o wait Chris Jackson

CJ is the best college player I've ever seen, but Shaq would be the best fit on this team. Hamilton scores but he's still very soft and no one can rebound. We need a dominate force down low. Our guards combined aren't CJ, but Hickey can handle the rock and Shaq would kill the paint.

How can you say anyone but Shaq? The guy has a statue on campus... :jump1:

Shaq would be the guy if he were available in his NBA prime. If this is a choice between having an ex LSU player show up as a freshman then Shaq isn't the guy you'd want. That would be Chris Jackson.

tough call between darrel mitchell, marcus thornton and garrett temple.
i'll take senior year marcus thornton.

All time would definitely be the pistol. Shaq was just dominating in college, but it's a push between him and Jackson. Both would be fun as hell to watch again,
