I just think the playmakers on offense, they didn't really have a chance to make no plays. That's the big thing that bothers me. I feel like I could have done more to help the team move the ball, Russell Shepard feels the same way, Rueben Randle feels the same way, our other receivers feel the same way. That's the main thing, that we didn't have the opportunity."

Peterson, 23, is in town for the Senior Bowl and he hopes neither that last disastrous outing nor a career in which he feels LSU under-utilized his talents will keep him from his dream.

"My main thing is I want to show people what I couldn't show them at LSU: that I can catch the ball, I can run routes, also that I can block," he said. "That's the main thing I'm really focused on, to show people what I can do that I couldn't show at LSU."

Sorry, Deangelo. We had QB issues most of your time here.

DP could have been used so much more as just a big target in the middle of the field

I do think he could have made a better play on Lee's 2nd interception at Bama, which was a bad pass

I agree with him totally and feel sorry for those players. Miles and his hard headedness handcuffed our playmakers abilities.

JJ should apologize to him.

Meanwhile, JJ continues to live under the delusion that he's the greatest QB in LSU history.

He even changed positions to TE based on the coaches recommendations and summarily was shut out of the offense. Talk about taking one for the team, no wonder the guy is upset. I don't blame him.

Some of the lack of production from DP has to go on him too. Even with Lee at QB DP did nothing memorable this season.

Even though we share many of the same thoughts on the BCSNCG, I wish his desire to show people he can block would have been on display more in his time at LSU.

Obviously, we didn't ask him to catch many balls, but route running and blocking should have been on full display. And I'm sure the people paid to see such things have an ample supply to choose from.

It's not what I do for a living, but as an over-indulged hobby, I can tell you he better show immaculate hands, or serious improvement in the other categories, to get what he feels is deserved.

We had some issues at qb while he was here but he was also scared to get hit!

showed flashes, but still never put it all together.
Maybe would have been great with a legit QB, but we'll never know...hopefully he gets drafted late or makes a team. I always liked the dude.

Apparently, these players do not subscribe to the "I trust the coaches" mantra.

Some of you apologists need to serve them some of that Kool-Aid you are drinking.

I'll always remember Peterson for three plays:

1. TD at Alabama
2. Reverse at home against Bama (wish he would've made an attempt to score)
3. Getting alligator arms against Ole Miss in 2010 then pushing a defender because of it, which resulted in a PF.

He would've been a huge mismatch if used properly. Very Aaron Hernandez-esque

Props to deangelo

He got his point across, didn't throw anyone in particular under the bus, and is 100% correct

Hope he has a great showing at the senior bowl and NFL career

He and every person he mentioned has every right to feel that way... why should everyone keep sugar coating everything to cover Les??? This will not hurt recruiting, LES'S coaching decisions will hurt recruiting.

The wages of obstinance.

I suppose that Peterson's implicit criticism of the conservative offense must mean that he was rooting for the team to lose.

Gotta be discouraging. Hope that whole era is over and a new offense emerges
