Basin, Old River, Concordia, are pretty central. For the irl tourneys could maybe have a few at diff locations

first second third fourth and fifth places then?

Will give some incentive to post pics of caught fish even though a bigger fish was posted before?

So here's what we're dealing with so far:

Singles or teams
IRL or pics

Here's my thoughts - to increase participation, we do this with pics. I don't want to exclude someone that can't meet up for whatever reason. I realize pics are easy to manipulate, so we'll have to decide on a common, accessible manner to prove our catches. Singles or team, doesn't matter to me. Both would be fun.

Anytime we want to have an IRL tourney, we could do that outside of this.

We can do a "post pics" tournament. Must have weighed the fish; no "I think it weighed this much." Don't have to post a pic of the scale, but we'll have to rely on honesty. Top 5 bass and a big bass division. We can make it a month long tournament. Public waterways only, no private ponds.

Winner can add "TD OD Board Bass Tournament Champ" to their sig or location.

When it gets closer to the Spring we can arrange for a Spillway/Gibson cookie jar tournament for anyone that can make it.

What say ye?

I'm going to fish Venice this afternoon with my brother around the Wagon Wheel.

I may get on some wall hangers.

The only way I see this working is if you have the pictures of the fish next too either the scale (which indicates the tourney is all based on weight), or have the fish next to a ruler (which indicated the tourney is all based on length of the fish).

I think you could run a successful picture tournament either way, I just know I have too many rulers and not one weight measurment device!

We did it by length since weight could be altered...
Had to have a card with td and the date on it so we knew it wasn't an old picture

I was thinking something like that but incorporating both length and girth measurements.

We use our biggest five fish. I'm sure I can find an online weight calculator to run the measurements through to use to determine the winner.
