Early 90s game name

This is gonna be for the 30+ gamers that may remember this game from the midish-90s.
I still have Edward Grabowski's: The Blue and the Gray which came out in 1993 or so. I am looking for a game that came out soon after that which was WW2 based where you could play Americans or Germans. It was the same style as Blue/Gray and similar to the original command and conquer. You could use single unit, squad, or all to move your army. You would have an overview map to control all armies and would move into the square of other side to initiate the battle itself. There you would control the movement of your troops.
It has been driving me nuts trying to think of it. TIA

Actually think it may be D-Day: The Beginning of the End...sadly since it is almost 20 years old, cant find much about it really.
