I'm really hoping Hot Shots pops up on PS+ soon. It's definitely worth the $20 or $30 stores are asking for it.

I've been playing Uncharted Golden Abyss, because it's free on PS Plus, and I think this game is terrible. So much boring dialogue that I can't skip fast enough. Every "feature" of the Vita hardware is used and it just feels gimmicky. The environments are WAY too repetitive. It feels like a Tomb Raider game from 1997. The UI detailing all the useless crap I'm supposed to find is also poorly designed.
Probably should start Persona 4 since it's just sitting in the box.

The main reason I'd recommend a 3DS over a DS is all the big new handheld Nintendo games will be on 3DS only (with the exception of Pokemon this fall). There's a new Mario game coming out this August, and it's only on 3DS.
Couple that with the fact that the 3DS can play every DS game too, all your bases are covered.
Game Gear lasted about 2 hours on 6 AAA batteries when I was a kid. A 3DS can last 5-8 hours on a charge. It's a non-issue.

Kratos. There is nothing likable or redeemable about Kratos as a character. The God of War series seems like it's designed for a 13 year old to love playing.

Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning on February 7th! The demo is out on PC PSN and Xbox Live. It's like if Fable 3 or Dragon Age 2 were good games.

I work at a locally owned gamestore in Baton Rouge and just ran the numbers on this. It comes up to $147 if it's put towards a pre-order or a purchase of new releases or $113 for a gift card.

Looks like your standard $20 3rd party controller. It should work well enough for a while. I tend to stick with 1st party controllers.

I forgot, I knew a guy that streamed a game early and they threw him in jail and banned his family from streaming for three generations.
