I just finished watching it.

A very good Steven Soderbergh movie.

I would say it is better than most "End of the World" movies

Jude Law's character could have been left out, but I guess they wanted to include all aspects of something like this.

Wasn't too impressed... probably because I didn't expect it to be so realistic.

I sound mindless for saying this but it was boring.

I watched it a couple weeks ago and liked it. Pretty accurate description of how something like that could actually happen.

Same here. The Jude Law character wasn't developed well at all. I'm not sure what the lady doctor in China added to it. Just kind of all over the place and not very 'thrilling'.

Loved this movie.... They made it so that people watching it took away from the movie that in events like that it's other people you have to worry about.... The thing I took from the movie...... I need to buy a gun

I love this genre and I agree with this. There was nothing to it. I thought it started out good then just dragged to a dull finish. Disappointed.

Overall I felt it was a good movie.

Not a feel good movie by any means.

I do believe it was a bit overly optimistic in the end even as bad the situation got

I liked it.

But I am a microbiology guy who always was interested in epidemiology of pandemic scale pathogens.

The movie was fairly realistic.

Even got a nerd boner when they started laying down the 5-7 syllable words when describing it....and they actually made sense! I had a couple of scruffles with details, but I was willing to let it all slide because of that alone. Too many times movies will just throw random science words together figuring "It sounds smart and no one really understands this crap anyway...."

frick you, I do.

In fact, they didn't even go far enough in terms of showing what is expected by the CDC/White House in a flu pandemic of that scale in the US.

It would be really, really really bad.

You don't get out of the woods by a long shot just by having immunity to the virus.

Even if he wasn't murdered in his house, Damon's character probably had like a 25% chance or so of dying.

Nah, but the worst thing they showed socity wise was his neighbors getting wasted.

What I meant was, even excluding getting murdered or dying of the flu....there are lots of ways to die in a flu pandemic.

Especially in Chicago.
