It was absolutely, totally and completely irrational in the moment, and finding someone who thinks it wasn't irrational is virtually impossible. Even folks who have little or no football knowledge could see that a change needed to be made. Trying to excuse his thought process by saying we can only see it was irrational with the benefit of 20/20 is ridiculous. Did you see the posts that were made DURING THE COURSE OF THE GAME? Everyone knew what needed to happen. He's either (a) stubborn, or (b) stupid. Take your pick.

Imagine the meltdown if he calls an option on the first play from scrimmage in the 2012 opener! It would almost be worth it just to see the reaction LOL
