Players were frustrated after a demoralizing loss, it happens every year except you don't hear about it. The football program will continue to be successful with Miles, no matter how much you wish it won't be.

This post combines two of my favorite Rant fallacies. First, it assumes that anyone who expresses dissatisfaction with any coaching decision or with any particular development is thereby rooting for LSU "to lose." Only an ignoramus woud take such a position. I assure you, when I fly all around the country to follow the team and devote tens of thousands of dollars to tickets and lodging and airfare, I most certainly DO NOT want to the team to fail. When I was sitting in the Dome last Monday, nothing would have pleased me more than a dismantling of Bama. Many other fans who dedicate similar resources to LSU nonetheless are justifiably disgruntled with the last week or so. Second of all, the post glibly declares that the program will continue to be successful, which - true or not - entirely misses the point. We were humiliated in the NCG, our offensive gameplan was ridiculously inept, we lost Collins, we lost Miller, we lost Kiel, we lost Randle, and we may yet lose Boone. Any rational observers would agree that those developments are negative. Disappointment and anger are a warranted response. My post was about those developments, not a prognostication about what may or may not occur at some undefined point in the future.

Jarrett Lee...why did you keep saying he was in the mix only to keep him benched and let his last play be an insulting knee in his only snap of the SEC title game?

If you had it to do all over again (before and during the big game), what would you do differently?

Of course we wouldn't get a candid response and I wouldn't expect one from any coach but it would be interesting to find out..... I'm sure CLM have thought about this extensively since the game.

My post was made to point out that many people on the rant and in this thread either do not want Miles to succeed here or wish he would leave on his own accord.
Has the past 2 weeks been a disappointment? Yes. but it will take a whole lot more than that to bring down a program at the level that Miles has helped bring LSU to. There is a huge difference between being disappointed and all the gloom and doom that's been going on with this fan base.
Last year's recruiting class was outstanding and one that can compete for championships. If you want to be disappointed with the events the last few weeks then go right ahead. But forgive me if I continue to see a bright future for this team.
