God is my witness, I have NEVER been as embarassed and disgusted over the treatment of an LSU football player as I have with Les Miles' treatment of Jarrett Lee.
Yep. Unless there is real evidence of Lee falling apart after the first Bama game, then nothing compares.
Even then, you have another QB to put on the field and fail to do so. Clinching a humiliating loss in the process.

Nothing at all. He can win the SEC every year and frickkup the NC game and I don't care. Give me 13 wins a year and I'm a content mo fo.

He has to humbly and apologetically admit that he morally wrong for what he did. Not tactically wrong--morally wrong.

13-0 for the first time in school history is mediocrity?
You can't really be this dumb.

Why morally wrong? (Just a question, curious)

The constant smug lying to the fanbase is really at the core of it. I used to laugh it off when I thought he was honorably protecting his assistants or whatever, but he really started to believe his own hype and actually had his ego grow so large that he started willingly spiting the fanbase for the sake of it. That's the most serious problem in a nutshell. At this moment, I don't care to rehash the details of it all over the years.

Treat all players the same for the good of team morale.
In other words, use the same standard to judge all players who get either playing time or yanked form a game for screw ups.
In the 1st Bama game, Lee got yanked after his 2nd intereption and looking like he didn't have his head in the game and was confused. He had that dazed look in his eye.
When JJ had the same problems in the BCSNCG, with 3 fumbles, holding the ball too long to take sacks, and thowing and interception, he got to stay in the game. I simply will never get it how he treated one player one way and the other one differently. It is not good for him or the team.

quietly fade into obscurity, won mostly on talent and little coaching!

Ah. I agree w/ that sentiment. The lying has gotten pretty bad.
IMO he thinks he is above it all, but doesn't realize this is a public university. The President needs to make him own up, but kinda hard when Miles has LSU by the balls w/ his contract.
What a bullshite contract...one only for a "god" and his name is not Saban, but Miles.

Embarrass Nick Saban and Alabama twice on national stages. I say twice because there will never be another stage like that one again.

Well even without the current contractual arrangement, LSU really can't practically fire him so long as he keeps winning ... and he will keep winning.
Win or not, I just can't pull for the guy anymore.

The reasons to have put Lee in the game FAR outweigh any reason to keep Jefferson in the game past mid way through the third quarter in my estimation.
1) Redemption is a powerful motivating factor if not just because it's your final college football game, a chance you were denied both in the last game in Tiger Stadium, as well as the SECCG.
2) Lee DESERVED it as a senior and because without his 8-0 start and second place SEC ranking in completion percentage over arguably the most daunting away schedule in CFB at the time you wouldn't be in the BCS Championship game at all.
3) You introduce something for Alabama to have to worry about, knowing he is in there to pass, maybe it even ends up opening up some running lanes, and given the fact that Jefferson ended up with a 1 yard average per carry, it certainly would be a push for running the ball.
4) Competition can prove to be a very powerful motivating factor for Jordon Jefferson's mental outlook as well by putting Lee in in a series or two, if not at least time for him to see what is going on from the sidelines to gain perspective.

Don't think he can, but he does not care, and I love my Tigers no matter how asinine and hard-headed he has been wrt JJ.

I'm sure I won't be able to help smiling and being happy when LSU wins big games next year, but at the same time, I really don't think I can call myself a fan of the program with Miles at the helm anymore. It's gotten that bad.
