So does this mean...

int avg
JJ - 20/33 = .6
JL - 21/18 = 1.2

The difference being that almost all of Lee's INTs were in 2008 which makes your point fricking stupid

What wish? I was hoping Lee was gonna start the second half.

I just find it laughable that the thread is asking if the coaching staff looks at STATS, yet there is only one stat provided. I don't think the only measure of QB success is how much they get sacked.

You supported Miles getting into Lee's head.

It worked. It effed up our season, and embarrassed LSU. Stop posting you know nothing about sports psychology

You dont have the most efficient QB in the toughest conf, always looking over his shoulder

BTW, did I say stop posting? Your opinions suck

OK. I supported Miles and the team.

Sorry, Dr. Murray but I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Again, I don't see what that has to do with this topic but are you suggesting that Les should have gotten rid of JJ, Mett, Rivers and Randall before the season started?

Yeah, I simply never understood some people's insistence that Jefferson had great running ability and evasiveness.

I've tried to be somewhat optimistic about our QB situation over the last few years, and was even hopeful going into this game, after the Ga Tech and Texas A&M games. However, looking back, there were just a few, all too short, glimmers of mediocrity, which seems more and more like luck when looking back over the massive geyser of ineptitude that has spewed forth from him over the years.

He never learned to run the option correctly, and honestly ran it like he was scared. He always arced nearly 5 yards back behind the LOS instead of attacking directly at the pitch man and making him commit to himself or the pitch. That is why a single defender could often stop our option. Also, by running backwards, you give the defense an extra second or two to move horizontally and cover the field. Then, after both he and the RB were covered, he would fling the ball at the RB and expect him to make something happen. Dangerous, and stupid.

He couldn't run the Zone Read worth a flip. Seems like every Zone Read he ran was the Zone, without the Read. He just made up his mind beforehand that he was either going to keep it or handoff ( and he kept it 80% of the time, for a loss ) AS the saying goes, even a broken clock is right twice a day, so, sure, he broke one or two for a long run over the years, but that didn't make up for all of the dropped snaps, botched handoffs, and blown up plays because Jefferson was too confused to make a read or chose wrong before the snap.

Lastly, I can't remember any times that he consistently helped extend a passing play with his feet. I'm not talking about deciding to run and gaining a few yards. I'm talking about being aware of the pass rush and either stepping up into the pocket, backpedaling, or breaking toward the sideline in order to give the WR a chance to get open and then making a successful pass. People always tried to call JJ a "running" QB and Miles insisted that his feet gave us an advantage, but I can easily remember Mauck, Flynn, even Russell avoiding the rush and buying time, then making a good pass. JJ, not so much. Not only did he lack any awareness of the pocket or the location of blockers or defenders, but his lack of vision or ability to make progressions, and his need for a DB to spot a WR 15 yards before he was willing to throw a pass missed so many passing windows that ended up requiring longer blocks by our OLine and frequently displayed his complete lack of situational awareness, movement and pocket presence, and decision making.

Two picks were from this season. Are you really going to go back to his freshman year? You're either a tool or drink the kool-aid.
