Hatred for Saban

I just got finished watching some youtube videos of Nick Saban's post game pressers. I know that the popular thing to do is to hate Nick Saban and consider him an arrogant, egotistical a-hole. I get it. I read this stuff all the time. However, I dont know what else to call him except a person totally committed to his success. Do other aspects of his life suffer because of this "obsession" with work? I don't know. And neither do you. If he has a family situation that works for him and his wife, then who are we to judge?
Back to my point. I know he talks to reporters and bystanders like they don't matter. Thats because they dont! He is totally driven to succeed in whatever realm he is competing in at any given time. Wouldn't you hire someone with those qualities to do whatever job you wanted done? I mean, I get it, he left LSU. All of you aren't really that hurt about that are you? We have a great coach now. A very successful one. Statistically, a better one than Nick himself.
I guess I just need some reassurance. With a leader like Saban, if hes on your team, you love him. If hes not, you hate him. Thats what this is right? I mean, you all really don't believe that he "did LSU wrong" or anything like that, do you?

Funny because those adjectives describe Miles as well.

I don't think Nick has stopped cheating on his wife in time to discuss their family situation. Dude is a terrible person away from football

I hate that he's coaching at Alabama, but only because he's so good. I don't hate Nick Saban.
At the trophy presentation Monday night, Saban went out of his way to be complementary to LSU. I'm not talking about generic coach-speak platitudes, he was genuinely magnanimous in victory. I expected a one line comment acknowledging the quality of his competition, but I think he went above and beyond, and seemed sincere while saying it.

I was never upset with Saban going to Bama. He had been at Miami and wanted out, so why not take the best college job available? Had the LSU job been open, he might have retuned here.
He's a terrific coach, so why criticize his coaching because he recruits well and wins championships? That's why they hired him. I doubt many of us would care for him personally if we worked with him, but the people who hired him at Bama didn't care if the people working with him/for him liked Saban; they just wanted wins.
He gets results. I've never cared for him personally and think he gets his panties in a wad far too often over legitimate questions from the media, but he's a great coach. No need to hate him for it.

The most painful thing about that game was watching the smug little frick celebrate. I've always been appreciative of what he has done here but I couldn't possibly hate the man anymore.

At least they aren't getting Boise State OC. Florida just hired him.

That was the most I have ever seen Saban celebrate after any win or title win...Besides the bonus, I think this one was really personal if he admits it or not.

$abun is all about $abun no matter where he coaches.
My hatred is more toward the gumps for cheating....going down the tubes...coming back and buying it.
i will never buy the bama PR that $abun was available.....he wasnt. He wasnt looking to go back to college.....They made him the highest paid coach before he ever coached a game there.
ALso the whole ESPN hates LSU thing is BS....However I do believe they love $abun. His face and name was shown more than any other coach and that was before he won shite there.....ESPN couldnt help $abun getting started enough with recruiting et. et. And they did help him make it to the BCSCG.....something he could not do on his own....when ESPN had it all set up as game of the century at their house. No other regular season game was hyped as much...

i think he is the best coach in football. i also think he is a little prick. He was hired to win football games and championships and that is what he is doing. Did i mention i also think he is a prick? He has his own process and it works. But i also think he is a prick. So frick him.

No they don't. Matter of fact, Miles is the least egotistical coach with his winning % than anyone. Where do you get this?

Thanks for acknowleging. That's what I thought. Didn't know if I was missing something. Let's not drag his personal life through the ringer. As far as his marital infidelity: 1. That is between he and his wife. 2. Are you ready to condemn to hell every man who has cheated? Be careful, its a helluva list.

I do believe that we need to keep the Saban Obsession going on this board for as long as the Bama fans enjoy it so greatly.
Chicken gets lots of hits from the state of Alabama for that reason.
