Why surprised? Monday night was a perfect snap shot of JJ's career.

1/9/12 was like a replay of JJ's typical performances during his career.
In his 4 year career he has been the winning QB because defense or special teams did enough to produce a W. Sure, he had a handful of games where he played well: GT in 08, AU in 09?, Bama-OM-aTm in 10, Ark in 11, but on the whole our offense struggled his entire career.
He missed reads, was indecisive with the ball, was confused and was inaccurate with his throws.
Monday night, we needed a big game from him but what we got was vintage Jefferson, with an able assist from piss poor game planning, coaching.

He had a bad game versus Georgia as well, but the defense and special teams covered that up.

3 plus years of starting for a team loaded with weapons and 3 decent games in that time. Of course, according to him, and apparently the head coach, he had a ton of great games. As he thought again about Monday. Clueless to the end.

Can anyone compile a list of Jefferson's 230+ yard passing games and then compare it to a list of Jefferson's sub-100 yard passing games? It would be interesting to see which he has more of in his 40+ games as a starter at LSU.

Almost stopped watching in the 3rd quarter, because I thought to myself I have seen this exact game before (for the last 4 years) . . . same friggin game!

Exactly. I feel bad for the kid, but we can sum his playing career up with one word: futility.

In every game HE/OC lost in his career, all u have to do is look at his touches vs running back touches, and add back his sacks to passes vs run and count all his runs that were really passes and turned into run because he could lead receivers.

I was very surprised that JJ reverted to his 2010 form, but it is only fitting that he finished out the year that way. 20 years from now, he will be remembered as the worst QB in Tiger history will soooo much talent around him & the best defense in the country to make him successful. The 3 yr nightmare is OVER w/ JJ

Absolultey right.

Why would you expect anything different is what I kept telling people.
Denny green says, he is what we thought he was.
A below avg qb that happens to be surrounded by some pretty good football player.

Perfect description. And some can say Miles was correct in sticking with a barely mediocre quarterback, with a severely limited playbook, and letting the other talent win games. It worked often and it contributed to the 13-0 run. But in the quest for consistency, he inadvertently turned the entire season into one long gimmick. Rely on special teams, turnovers, and smothering depth to win games, with no plan or capability to invoke innovative offensive strategy under any circumstances.

I think those that actually understand football have had their eyes open all along, they just don't post 24/7. Its funny to watch the flow now start ebbing back to the dipshits that think miles can do no wrong and we are so lucky to have him. Yeah he had a nice run when he was forced to do the traditional QB throws and RB's run for the first part of the season. But enter JJlove and throw all that shite out. The carry over from the Lee era and the defense kept us going the last part of the season, but it was inevitable that this JJ game was going to happen. Now the only hope is that a long distance affair will die out and we go back to QB chunking and RB running. It has happened before, so it might happen again.

This is exactly what I've been saying. This is the same shite we've been watching for 4 years with Jefferson. The only time the offense looked truly in sync with good flow is when Lee was playing this year. I really hope there was something else going on that we don't know about.

had it been a snapshot of his career, he'd have made a play or 2 that made you understand why he started or got any playing time at all. this go round, I don't think I saw anything redeeming from his performance.

It was as awful as you will see. It was a return to Dinardian 99 offense.
I am not sure how Les can look Lee in the eye man to man.
Other than situational needs there is no way that anyone could justify playing Jefferson over Lee based on the on field performances over the past two years.
