After the 1stQ or half and the result was the same (a loss). Don't you think there still be some on here that would question Miles's judgment? I guarantee you there would be someone saying "he didn't give Jefferson a chance to get his rhythm" or something else on the QB rotation. I can bear the arguments for lack of preparation or playcalling but for some reason I think that even if JLee went in there would be a faction b'in and moaning about the QB management

He would have pulled him after one or two bad series.

Of course. We lost, and people are going to call for his head. But then again people on here are much worse when JL doesn't get playing time because he "deserves" it more.

No

We would have all welcomed some actual effort from the offensive coaching staff

nobody is saying miles should have pulled JJ at the first or even second sign of trouble. but after the entire first half was terrible and we came out of the locker room with the same result in the second half it wouldve been nice if SOMETHING was changed in the game plan. JLee was the best way to stir things up and maybe light a spark

Some but significantly less if he would have at least tried it.

JLee should have gone in at some point in the 3rd. That way he too could have been blamed for piss poor QB and OL play.

God im so glad the JJ and Jlee thing is over. Looking forward to Mett

If Lee would have played the second half, I doubt there would have been many complaints if it didn't work out

Miles would have been validated as a good coach, cause if the result was the same, everyone would have known for sure that Miles was winning with less than 1 average QB. Now, he is seen as a strange dude once again.

At least for myself , Im going to have to disagree. Had no problem when Les made the change during the Nov 5th game after Lee threw the 2nd interception and of course JJ played well and we win. now in your set of facts , you are saying Lee comes in , ineffective and we still lose. No sir, I would not be upset, I would at least know that Miles was trying everything in his aresenal and maybe JJ ckould get a good look from the sidelines as to what the defense was doing. I would have felt a lot better with Lee in there and still losing that not trying at all. JMO

I honestly, if we had to lose, wish he put Lee in and Lee promptly throws int. So then he puts Jefferson in, he throws int. Jefferson comes in again, throws int. Mett comes in throws int

At the end of the night we thre 8 ints.

Fair enough. Just wanted an honest assessment fron those Making the argument. I think theres also something to be said for a coach who conjures a gameplan over the course of a 40 day period which he thinks will best lead his team to success and sticking to the plan. Kind of like when the first drive of the game is scripted. I honestly think Miles thought JJ give his team the best chance to win the game with good intentions (not being bone headed). Didn't work out for him. Its upsetting though to hear that JLee got reps with the 2nd team running the EXACT same plays. It's like they made a conscious decision that if JJ got hurt or whatever that JLee was supposed to step in and run the same offense without skipping a beat. If this is the decision Why not put in JLee. You prepared him to be able to step in!

Points well made, but what did we have to lose? And you know what? SO WHAT? Any idiot could see a change in pace/approach was indicated. Even Reuben Randle has now tweeted that he does not understand Lee not being given a chance. Blackwell tweeted that LSU was "outcoached". According to Herbstreit, LSU receivers were running downfield wide-open...maybe Lee could have thrown one up off his back foot and got us a TD...like Auburn his freshman year. All we know is, we stuck with Jefferson, and the results were disastrous. How could Lee have made it worse? And Miles says it would've been "unfair" to Lee to put him in? Oh yeah? Was it unfair to put him in the SEC CG for his very last play as an LSU Tiger to take a knee? Screw it, it's over, now Mettenberger, Rivers and Keil can go after it.

What if Lee went in and made Bama pay?

At least he had the opportunity.

It's a double standard. How do you people not get this? Lee plays the first game and throws one pick and gets benched. JJ fumbles two snaps and throws an atrocious pick and he stays in.

If Lee would have played the whole time in the first Bama game and we would have lost, miles would of taken heat for that. But guess what? He tried something different and it worked out. Last night he goes by a different standard and pays the price. Simple as that. It's not JJ's fault. It's all on Miles because he says who goes into the game and who doesn't. I am very excited we won 13 games and Les should not be fired. Just people being overemotional, but what do you expect just a day after that Game? Let people vent.

It was obvious the sideline to sideline play calling was not working so why not try someone who may be able to hit some quick slants or something to get the ball in the playmakers hands .

bullshite. My wife and sister don't know the first thing about football. Neither of them could believe that Lee did not start the second half (neither could I). If he stunk it up then Miles could always have put Jefferson back in.

It is inexcusable and unforgivable that Miles stuck with Jefferson from start to finish.
