I have been hearing the Frogs odds of landing the two lineman out of West Monroe are pretty good. They grabbed Chuck Hunter last year and were talking to Turner before he committed to LSU. I saw each of these guys play in the dome and all are top notch D-1 talent. Does anyone else think that with TCU moving up in the world, that they might be setting up a pipeline into an always talent rich West Monroe?

Sure, but when a kid gets an LSU offer there won't be any doubt who they will pick.

Foot in the door is still across the room from LSU. If we want a kid from West Monroe, we'll get them. Neville isnn't West Monroe so Diarse having them in his top 3 is another subject unless you're talking about a foot in LA. They'd still be across the room from LSU. TCU knows the deal. They are trying to get into the TAM area of LA recruiting. After we and ohter powers kid the kids we want. It's actually a smart move by TCU. I assume you're talking about McFarland and Lathan and those guys are good gets for TCU. Lathan is a stud if he gets his motor running full time. McFarland has decommited from TCU once already so I'd assume he just didn't get the attention he was looking for.

Buzz around town is LSU coaches aren't as frequent in the area as they were. NOLA is the focus now with Wilson's ties. TCU is trying to take advantage of this absence and scoop up some good talent. Hope they offer Ricky Wyatt Jr as well this year. I'd rather the kids go to TCU than Arkansas and hurt LSU.

That is because they don't really have LSU caliber guys there this year...that simple. They'll be all over West Monroe the second they think someone is worth a LSU offer.

I beg to differ. These kids are good, really good. I believe that we the depth we have in the trench on the defensive side of the ball LSU chooses not to use a scholly there. I have seen them play and they are SEC caliber.

Didn't Ole Miss take two players from WM we didn't offer?

Dillon Day is playing for Mississippi State and Jonas Tyson will be at Ole Miss. Hunter to TCU obviously, and now Lathan/McFarland to BCS schools likely this year. 3-4 stars from WM that LSU passed on recently.

I keep being told that WM recruits have less upside than most schools because of the intense training program at WM. That seems to some part of the situation with McFarland and Hunter. I dont really know if that is a factor in the ultimate decesion or not, but it makes sense.

They used to say that about Evangel too. No doubt that Evangel and West Monroe are getting alot out of their players on the high school level!

I hope someone offers this kid, b/c he is a special type player. TCU would not regret picking him up. He was the best player on that Neville team this year.

As long as Shows is at West Monroe I have no doubt that if there is a guy that LSU will get almost every WM guy that they have serious interest in
